What can I expect during a typical session?

A 1:1 consultation will consist of an initial 90-minute health assessment followed by a tailored health action plan. If booked, a follow-up session (30 minutes) around 4-5 weeks later is recommended to review progress and see if any adjustments are needed.

Group workshops vary on topics but will always cover the fundamental principles of Ayurveda, how these can be practically applied in day-to-day life, and are delivered in a way that is accessible. The workshops are interactive and encourage discussion and learning through group work too.

What are the benefits of your sessions?

Previous clients have mentioned that they appreciate the blended approach taken - using vital signs (blood pressure, pulse) and traditional assessment methods (tongue diagnosis, for example), to build a fuller picture of a person's health.

With a background in nursing, Kirit is able to translate and show the commonalities between the ancient science of Ayurveda and conventional, modern medicine approaches.

Consultations are as unique as the person being assessed. Each appointment and health plan is tailored to the individual.

People attending the workshops have said that they'd left with practical steps they could implement straight away.

How should I prepare for my session?

For a 1:1 session, an Initial Health Assessment form will be sent to you prior to the appointment.

It is advised that you do not have a heavy meal before attending the 1:1 session or consume any caffeine as this can affect the pulse and tongue diagnosis. You will notice that all available appointment slots are in the morning time and this is intentional because this is the best time of day to assess the pulse.

Generally, you do not need to bring anything with you to these sessions. If you are taking prescription medications, it might be useful to list down the names and dosages to bring along with you.

Is the session safe for everyone?

Although Ayurvedic practice is safe for everyone, at different stages of their lives, at Illuminate Health, we do not see children under 16 or pregnant women.
