Not at all! MTSC welcomes complete beginners through to experienced fighters. Whether you're here to try something new, build confidence, or get back into the swing of things, our classes are designed to be accessible and supportive for all levels.

Is Muay Thai dangerous? I’m worried about getting hurt.

We understand the concern — safety is our top priority. We offer structured, progressive training in a controlled environment. Sparring is entirely optional and always done under supervision, with respect and consent as the foundation.

I’m not interested in fighting competitively — is MTSC still for me?

Absolutely. Most of our members train for fitness, mental well-being, or fun. We’re not about producing champions — we’re about building community, improving lives, and helping people feel strong and confident.

While Muay Thai is our foundation, our coaches have diverse backgrounds in MMA, boxing, and kickboxing. This brings a well-rounded approach to movement, technique, and fitness. We also offer no-contact fitness classes inspired by combat training.

Can I just come to watch or try a class before joining?

Yes! We offer free taster classes so you can get a feel for the space, meet our coaches, and decide if it’s right for you. We also host community events and open days — come say hi.

What should I bring to my first class?

Comfortable workout clothes, water, and an open mind. If you have your own gloves or wraps, feel free to bring them, but we have kit available to borrow for your first few sessions.
