What can I expect during a typical session?

A session with me begins before your appointment does! I review your detailed client consultation questionnaire, to familiarise myself with your case, any relevant details which might need an adjusted approach, and also what you're looking for from your treatment.

We begin the appointment with a brief chat, to help you connect with your intention for the session, to cover any further information or questions that either of us has, and to make sure you are comfortable and clear with how the session will go.

After your treatment I'll gently let you know the session is over, allow you to fully come back to the room, offer you a drink of water, and then answer any further questions/receive feedback from you. I will also share post-treatment guidance and any wellbeing hints and tips, tailored to you, that could benefit you on your continuing wellbeing journey.

How should I prepare for my session?

It's a good idea to wear comfortable, loose clothing which you can move easily in. Wearing shoes that are easy to remove and put back on, is a definite advantage, and checking your mobile phone is set to silent will ensure you don't get disturbed or stressed during your session.
It's ideal not to wear heavy or long jewellery as this can get in the way, feel distracting, or feel uncomfortable during a 1-hr session lying down.

Also, it's helpful to write down any questions you have, so that you remember them at the appointment, and then I can answer them beforehand.

Is the session safe for everyone?

Accepted Answer

Reiki is safe for everyone - it has no contraindications, is gentle, noninvasive and anyone from babies through to the oldest person, can safely receive Reiki.

However, with Reiki, as with the other modalities I offer, it's crucial that you answer the client questionnaire as accurately as you are able to, and as fully as you feel comfortable doing.

Anything you share with me will be held in the strictest of confidence (unless you tell me something that I am legally obliged to notify the authorities of) so you can have absolute confidence in my trustworthiness and discretion.
