I use carefully selected instruments to create a soundscape of harmonious tones, binaural beats, and soothing sonic frequencies. This therapeutic atmosphere encourages the mind and body to shift from an active beta brainwave state (normal waking consciousness) into slower, more meditative theta states or even delta states (associated with deep sleep and cellular repair). What to Expect from a Sound Healing SessionA sound healing session — often called a sound bath — is a beautiful opportunity to receive, reset, and rebalance. Each session is unique, but they typically last around an hour and are designed to support deep rest and inner healing.We begin with a short, gentle breathing practice to help you settle your body and mind. From there, you’ll make yourself comfortable — usually lying down on a yoga mat with a cosy blanket, cushion, and an eye mask if you’d like. Then, you simply receive as the soothing sounds begin.Using a variety of instruments — including gongs, crystal singing bowls, chimes, and drums — I create a rich soundscape designed to gently shift your brainwaves and activate the body’s natural healing abilities. You’ll be "bathed" in vibrations that can help release stress, soothe the nervous system, and invite a deeper sense of peace. There may be pauses or moments of silence to help you fully absorb the sounds.Your role is simply to open up, allow yourself to receive, and trust in the process. You don’t need to do anything — just be present. If you're attending for the first time, or know you’re sensitive to sound, you're welcome to place yourself near the exit. If you ever feel the need to quietly step out, please feel free to do so — your comfort is important.Everyone’s Experience is UniqueSound healing is an immersive and often deeply personal experience. You may feel a range of physical or emotional responses — or you might simply feel calm and relaxed. It’s common to drift in and out of consciousness — that space between sleep and wakefulness. Some people see colours, patterns, or visions. Others receive insights, creative downloads, or emotional releases. You might even fall asleep — and that’s okay! The healing continues, whether you’re awake or not.Some participants report sensations like tingling, warmth, coolness, or gentle vibrations in their body. These can be caused by the powerful frequencies of instruments like the gong and drum. In some cases, you may notice twitching or spontaneous movements in the hands or feet — this is a natural clearing of stuck energy.Emotional responses may also arise. This is rare, but if you know you have this condition, it's important to identify your personal sound triggers and consult your doctor before attending.Deep brain stimulation devices (DBS): If you have Parkinson’s and use a DBS device, sound healing may not be suitable until your doctor confirms it's safe.For any neurological disorder, it’s best to check with your GP to see whether sound healing is appropriate. In some cases, it may be safe to attend by simply sitting further away from the instruments.PregnancySound healing can be a beautiful and supportive practice for both mother and baby. That’s why private one-to-one sound healing sessions are completely tailored to you and your unique needs, creating a space where your body, mind, and spirit can return to vibrational harmony.When you book a private session, we’ll begin with a gentle consultation to explore your intentions, preferences, and any areas you’d like to focus on.
